Demons netball director Alex Neale said the clash means a lot to everyone.

"We feel very privileged to play and it means a lot to us and we always look forward to this day on the calendar," Neale said.

"We always look forward to playing the Saints as it is a good benchmark to see how we are shaping up for the season and especially being a grand final rematch, it makes things more exciting."

Neale said they just need to focus on their own game.

"We need to focus on our players on the court and the bench and make sure everyone knows the role they need to play," Neale said.

"We need to play a consistent game and a game that shows what the Demons can do. If we do that well, it will give us a good opportunity."

Neale is excited about the matchup in the centre between Ashlee Grace and Georgie Carberry.

"They are two very quick players and are hard at the ball and the good thing about them is they won't back down. They are very competitive and it will be a great matchup to watch and will be important in deciding the game," Neale concluded.

For the Saints, coach Jess Cannane is looking forward to seeing how much they have progressed.

"It's a great test to see how much we have progressed through the offseason on what we want to do this season," Cannane said.

"We fine tuned those things in round one and we were happy we managed to get a nice win on the board. Against a high-quality team, we will see where we stand.

"We know every time we match up against them that the match will go down to the wire and I don't expect anything different this time around."

When asked about key matchups, Cannane said everyone on the court is important.

"There are lots and lots of key matchups and every single one has a positive and negative," Cannane said.

"For us, it's just about being able to play four quarters of netball and working on those connections."
