Wimmera COVID numbers rise again
Across the Wimmera there are 200 active COVID-19 cases after 59 new cases were reported on January 17.

ACROSS the Wimmera there are 200 active COVID-19 cases after 59 new cases were reported on January 17, compared to 178 active cases on January 16.
In Horsham municipality there were 32 new cases reported, taking the total active cases to 101.
In the Northern Grampians five new cases were recorded, taking the total active cases to 46.
Six new cases were recorded in Hindmarsh for a total of 23 active cases, with Yarriambiack recording 20 total active cases after 10 new cases were recorded.
In the West Wimmera six new cases were recorded, taking the total active cases to 10.
Across Victoria 12,059 new cases were recorded through PCR tests and 10,370 Rapid Antigen Test positives were recorded in the 24 hours prior to 12pm, January 17.
There are currently 1229 people hospitalised for COVID-19 in Victoria, and in the last 24 hours six lives have been lost.
Overall there are 245,040 active cases in the state.
The Wimmera Health Care Group drive through testing service on Read Street, Horsham with the entry on Arnott Street is open 8am to 11am daily.
The Horsham Respiratory Clinic is open for COVID-19 testing on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday from 9am to 5pm, Friday from 9.20am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 1pm and Sunday from 9am to 12.20pm.
