Warracknabeal wins winter challenge
The winter bowls challenge matches has now started with the Warracknabeal bowling club facing off against Nhill on their home green.
Nhill bowling club president Terry Robins welcomed all players to the club and handed over to organisers Barry Cramer and Warracknabeal bowling club Debra Steed on conditions of play.
The players played 21 ends and had a lovely afternoon tea which the Nhill ladies put on the best rink for Warracknabeal was Debra Steed, Terry Smith and skipper Gary Mclean.
Best rink for Nhill was Glenda Pola, Barry Cramer, skipper Darren Gebert.
Over all scores were Warracknabeal 150 - Nhill 135.
Return match to be decided.
Next Challenge match is Warracknabeal v Stawell at home 12.30pm start afternoon tea please.
