‘Shocktober’ call for more local responders

Ambulance Victoria has encouraged Horsham and Murtoa residents to learn or refresh their cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and sign up to be a GoodSAM responder.

Ambulance Victoria has encouraged locals to sign up as GoodSAM responders to help facilitate good survival rates from cardiac arrests by using a nearby automated external defibrillator until professional medical help arrives. The call is part of this month’s ‘Shocktober’ campaign and sessions are being held in Murtoa and Horsham.
