The Wimmera hits over 300 total COVID-19 active cases

COVID-19 case numbers have continued to rise following the weekend with a total of 64 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Wimmera, taking the region’s total to 301. 

In the Horsham municipality there were 27 new cases reported leading to a total of 115 active cases on April 4.

North Grampians has reported 21 new cases of COVID-19, taking their total number of active cases to 107.

Eight new cases have been reported for Yarriambiack, totalling to 34 for the shire with Hindmarsh now at a total of 27 active cases after six more cases had been recorded.

The total number of active cases for West Wimmera has increased to 18 with two new cases reported.

Vaccinations provide good protection against COVID-19, meaning many of us can safely recover at home.

66.1 percent of Victorians over 18 years-old and above have been recorded to have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine with 94.4 percent aged 12 and above receiving at least two doses. 

PCR tests have recorded 2903 new cases in Victoria and 7108 positive cases have been reported via Rapid Antigen Tests in the last 24 hours prior to 12pm, April 4. 

There are 305 Victorians currently hospitalised for COVID-19 with three on a ventilator.

Overall, there are 63,545 cases in Victoria. It's been reported that one person in their 50s has lost their life.   

The Grampians Health Horsham campus drive through testing service on Read Street, Horsham with the entry on Arnott Street is open 8am to 11am daily. 

The Horsham Respiratory Clinic is open for COVID-19 testing on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday from 9am to 5pm, Friday from 9.20am to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 1pm and Sunday from 9am to 12.20pm.
