Guests of the March 26 event were immersed in the rural Natimuk life.

NATIMUK residents recently came together to attend and celebrate the 130th Natimuk Show and the 150th anniversary of the town's settlement.
Guests of the March 26 event were immersed in the rural Natimuk life with the showcasing of stalls, demonstrations, competitions and attractions.
The show also coincided with the Back to Natimuk event which celebrated the 150th anniversary of the settlement from March 25 to March 27.
Natimuk Show president Robert Rogers said the day was nothing short of successful.
“I was absolutely delighted with how the show went. It was highly successful,” he said.
“The weather was good, not too hot or too windy. The turnout was every bit as good if not better than what we were expecting. Everyone was happy and pleased to be there.
“The one thing that always pleases me is seeing the young school children taking part in the show’s exhibitions. Some of those young children put a lot of time, cooking and other arrangements in. They dedicate a lot.”

The event included a speech by Victorian Agricultural Shows executive officer and company secretary Rod Bowles who surprised Mr Rogers by presenting him with the VAS Ltd Meritorious Award.
Mr Rogers said the award was unexpected.
“It was an absolute honour for me to have received the award,” he said.
“It was totally unexpected. What I’ve done as president has never been for any award.”
