IT IS all systems go for the annual Mallee Machinery Field Days that are set to return to Speed after two years of cancellations.
Mallee Machinery Field Days secretary Matt Brady said the wheels were in motion with lots of interest from new and existing exhibitors.
“The last two years have been tough on everyone,” he said.
“I think a lot of people have missed it.
“We are receiving enquiries from across Australia with large businesses keen to jump back on board and showcase their products and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back.”
The 2022 event would mark the 42nd year of the event, which aims to showcase the latest technology and advances within the agricultural industry.
Mr Brady said while COVID put a stop to the event, time didn’t stand still for the agricultural industry.
“There will be lots of new releases this year and for many businesses, this is the first time in three years they have had an opportunity to showcase them to a wider audience,” he said.
The Mallee Machinery Field Days is also a major fundraiser for the Speed Lions Club.
Mr Brady said the not-for-profit organisation was grateful it would once again be able to make worthwhile donations to those requiring a helping hand.
“Fundraising efforts across all communities have been impacted as a result of COVID,” he said.
“We’re happy we will be able to provide an economic boost to many community groups and organisations who have been hit hard in recent years.”

Proceeds from past events have been donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Flying Doctor Service, local hospitals, schools, sporting clubs, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
Mr Brady said the field days committee was calling for exhibitors who would like to partake in this year’s event.
“While we usually have around 300 sites, COVID has resulted in an influx of extra enquiries for additional sites this year,” he said.
“Sites are very competitive and capped so we urge anyone who is hoping to exhibit this year to contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
The Mallee Machinery Field Days will take place on Wednesday, August 3 and Thursday, August 4, 2022.
