Kelvyn Ball claims Grampians' High Gun

The Grampians Field and Game held its last shoot on May 25.

Sponsored by Dunolly Field and Game, the event featured 45 competitors, with Kelvyn Ball emerging as the High Gun Winner after shooting 65/75.

In the AA grade, Jason Parker won with 64/75, followed by Sam Marchesini (63/75) in second place and Kim Walters (61/75) in third place.

In A grade, Pepe Luciani came first with 60/75, followed by Nathan Peddlesden and Adam Hinch (52/75).

Darren Hosken won B grade, with Paul Webster and Wayne McLaughlin coming second and third.

C Grade saw Greg Cooper win, followed by Andrew Shaw and John Sprigg.

The handicap winner for the veterans was Barrie Crombie (49+ 22)/75, while Max Waller earned second (51+15)/75, and Ken Mikkelsen placed third (51+6)/75.

In the ladies, Michelle Parker won her class (43+18)/75, followed by Chelsea Filcock (36+24)/75 and Larelle Souter (46+12)/75

Will Hodder (49+22)/75 claimed first in the sub-junior class.

Field and Game is shot using shotguns.

Competitors shoot at clay targets that represent various animals, including rabbits, ducks, and foxes.

You can compete in this sport from the age of 12 years.

It is a social and family-oriented sport, with competitions held all over Australia on weekends.
