The West Ward representatives were elected at the council’s statutory meeting on Wednesday, November 12, in the Nhill Council Chambers.

During the meeting, councillors noted Cr Ismay’s Mayoral Report for 2024/2025, which reflected on council’s achievements during the first year of the 2024-2028 term and outlined progress across major community projects and strategic priorities.

Cr Ismay thanked councillors and residents for their confidence in his leadership.

"I thank councillors and the community for their support over the previous year, and look forward to serving another term and working with Cr Barker as deputy mayor,” he said.

“With a new council plan, there is much to achieve, and I look forward to seeing a number of fantastic community projects coming to fruition.”

The council also appointed delegates to its advisory committees, community asset committees and a range of external organisations.

The complete list of appointments is included in the meeting minutes, available at www.hindmarsh.vic.gov.au/council-meetings.

A recording of the meeting has also been uploaded to the council’s YouTube page.
