Investigation into Hamilton death
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances of a death at Hamilton after a women was found at a residence last night, Thursday, May 15.
Officers attended the residence on Henty Highway at around 7.30pm to conduct a welfare check.
Police located the body of a 48-year-old woman from Hamilton at the scene.
The nearby property was searched by officers who arrested a 48-year-old Hamilton man and will be interviewed.
It is believed the parties were known to each other.
The exact circumstances surrounding the woman's death are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
