“Council can confirm that we are working with Victoria Police in their investigation of an alleged security breach at Horsham Town Hall," Horsham Rural City Council mayor Brian Klowss said.

“We are very aware this development may be concerning and distressing to our staff and members of our community, particularly anyone who has performed at, attended, or worked at Horsham Town Hall. We extend our sincere apologies to those people."

Cr Klowss said from the moment the council was made aware of the alleged incident, including securing the facility, while key areas within the Town Hall were checked and cleared by VicPol the same day they were notified.
