Horsham Hockey Club gears up for season
The Horsham Hockey Club (HHC) is gearing up for the 2025 season, with activities aplenty.

Last week, the Hockey Victoria Schools Roadshow was held, and Hockey Victoria travelled to primary schools to help promote the sport to students.
They hosted a come-and-try day on Sunday, February 16 at the Dimboola Road Oval.
Social hockey commences on Thursday, February 19, at Horsham Holy Trinity Lutheran College middle school tennis courts from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. It will run for four weeks and is open to anyone, and you must register.
Horsham Hockey Club Vice President Launa Schilling said it's perfect for people to get to learn hockey.
"It's on a smaller scale, played on netball and basketball courts, so you don't need to be overly fit, and it's more for fun," Schilling said.
"It's just an informal session, and depending on numbers depends on how many matches are played.
"We can supply hockey sticks and encourage extended families to get involved."
The Hookin2 Hockey Program, for beginners aged 5-12, will also start on Thursday, February 19. It will be held at the Horsham College Community Oval on Baillie Street from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Schilling said it's basic skills to prepare children for the upcoming season.
"It's predominately for beginners and kids wanting to learn basic skills over the five weeks," Schilling said.
"You can purchase a kit, or we can loan out equipment. If you are returning and want to do skills again, that's fine."
With the 2025 hockey season set to launch in April, pre-season training begins on Wednesday, March 12.
The HHC also seeks players and coaches for the under-12s, under-16 mixed, and senior men's and women's teams.
