Mallee Machinery Field Days president Chris Monaghan said the event would showcase the latest technology and advances within the agricultural industry, including the new, fully-automated Fendt 936 G7.

“One attraction on show this year, and used for demonstrations, will be a Fendt autonomous - driverless - tractor,” Mr Monaghan said.

“It’s the first of its kind in the Mallee.”

Watch as the tractor, supplied by Horsham’s TractionAG, effortlessly demonstrates its capabilities throughout the two-day event, navigating rows, avoiding obstacles and seamlessly working alongside every farmer to suit their needs.

With an impressive 261 kilowatt, 355 horsepower, the Fendt 936 G7 is said to be “impressive” with its low fuel consumption and range of comfort-based features including infotainment package, sound system, coolbox, and a superiorly comfortable seat.

It performs superbly both on and off the field, capable of on-roads speeds of up to 90 kilometres per hour.

The independent front axle suspension also benefits traction, ensuring the front wheels are always in full contact with the ground on any terrain, in any condition.
